My work is about light and freedom. My art is a series of many different layers contributing to the whole piece, adding depth, passion and a reflection of who I am, and where I come from.

Lately, I find myself looking to the light...trying to capture it’s elusiveness, and the subtle images that inspire me. The many layers of transparent colors, and the simplicity of the images I use, convey a sense of lightness and liberation. These whisper to my soul and move my spirit...and hopefully yours. Melissa lives with her family in North Arkansas.
